Adam
King
Oct 20, 1993 — Aug 12, 2020
Adam Stephen King 1993-2020 HALLOWELL—With deepest sorrow we announce that Adam Stephen King, 26, of Hallowell, Maine our most beloved son, brother, grandson and nephew passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday August 12, 2020. He was born in St Johns, Newfoundland October 20, 1993 the son of Stephen B. King and Tracey A. Moore. Adam graduated from Messalonskee High school in 2012. His school years were full of antics and shenanigans that brought smiles to everyone around him and a few gray hairs to his parents and perhaps even his teachers like the time he rolled out of an open window in Math class! Adam had a deep pride in his Newfoundland heritage. As a young man he got to visit on his own and spend time with family. While there he enjoyed scooping up the caplin as they rolled on shore, eating Jigg’s Dinner and local salt codfish. The memories made from that visit is a gift to us and one we shall always treasure, When family would visit us here in Maine and bring salt beef, he was the first at the table and the last to leave. Being a Newfoundlander filled his heart. He was exceptionally creative and had abundance of various interests. He enjoyed “adventurous cooking”. His brothers will never forget the spaghetti pizza, a concept that came to him in a dream but was a bit of an epic fail. He went on to develop a passion for experimenting and had a true talent for creating unique dishes. He enjoyed music especially playing guitars and even crafted his own guitar from scratch. Above all these things he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was exceptionally witty, and one never knew what would come out of his mouth. He was known to spar with his brothers and it brought much laughter to all .He will continue to stay with us all through memories, and the laughs he forces us all to endure whether we were in the mood for it or not. Adam will always be remembered as a man with kind eyes, a larger than life smile, his acceptance of everyone he met without prejudice, kindness to others and his joyful disposition. He was a shining light in this world. Adam is survived by his Mother, Tracey Gurney and her husband, Don of Hallowell; his Father, Stephen King and his wife Jennifer of East Machias; his brothers , Benjamin and Spencer King of Augusta, Noah King and Gavin of East Machias and Mikayla and Donnie of Winslow; his grandmother Doris King and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be forever missed by his special Aunt Bev. Adam was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Max “Poppy” King. Adams memory will live on in each one of our hearts and memories. We will love you forever and always. The song is ended, but the melody lingers on By Irving Berlin A private Celebration of Adam’s Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home One Church Street Augusta. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the funeral home website at www.familyfirstfuneralhomes.com
