Readfield ~ Albert J. Rouleau, 78, formerly of Augusta, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 05, 2015 at his home. He was born in Lynn, MA. on May 26, 1937, the son of Joseph and Mary (Casey) Rouleau. Al had worked for General Electric for 25 years in Lynn, Ma. as a machinist building jet engines and later moved to Maine in 1987 to provide a better life for his children. He worked at Bath Iron Works and retired from there to spend time with family and go to work with his children. He would ride along coast to coast with his son moving furniture or be with his son in law on building sites. He enjoyed family activities and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. Al was a New England sports fan who especially loved to see the Red Sox play. He married Barbara Ruth Nickerson on October 30, 1965. They celebrated 30 beautiful years together until she went to be with the Lord in November of 1996. He was blessed to find love again and married Julia Merrill on February 14, 1999. She died in December of 2009. Al was an example of a man who gave and loved unconditionally to all. He is survived by his daughter Alexandra Lynne Seamon and her husband Ron of Readfield; their children; Alisha Ruby and her husband Jacob of Vassalboro, and their children Blake, Bowen and William; Abby Worthing and her husband Jeffrey of Readfield, and their daughter Baylee; Nathaniel and Noelle Faith, both of Readfield; He leaves behind his son Joseph “Bill” Rouleau and Cheryl Cunningham of Augusta and their children Eva, Colby and Cassidy; also his faithful companion “Manny”. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 14, at the Family Worship Center in Augusta. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Swanville at a later date. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Staff at the Alfond Center for Cancer in Augusta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family Worship Center Youth Group, 2580 North Belfast Ave, Augusta 04330.
