WINTHROP - Allen G. Marin, 69, of Annabessacook Drive, died Friday, July 5, 2013 at his home. He was born in Bangor on March 15, 1944. Allen served as an Airman Second Class with the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He traveled worldwide as a computer engineer for Bank Tech in Massachusetts. He loved computers, going to his camp on Pleasant Pond in Gardiner, boating, chess, dancing, his tractor, family gatherings and “being in charge” He was a member of the Alfred W. Maxwell American Legion Post 40, Winthrop. He was predeceased by his mother Ethel Marin. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Susan Marin of Winthrop; three sons, Tom Marin and his wife Susan Lee of Skowhegan; Michael Marin and his wife Monica of Wales and Mark Marin and his wife Susie of Valley Springs, CA.; a daughter Laurie Cross and her husband Dale of Pembroke Pine, FL.; five brothers Gerald Marin of Tavares, FL; Larry Marin of Jay, Harold Marin of Ocala, FL.; Herb Marin of Monmouth and Darrell Marin of Sanford; two sisters, Mel Wheeler of Winthrop and Marie Hamel of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and his beloved Yorkie “Sam”. Visiting will be held Monday, July 8, from 4 to 7 pm at Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop. A celebration of Allen’s life will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 9 at Hope Baptist Church, Route 202 Manchester. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alfred W.
