Augusta - Edward H. Robinson, 83 of 310 Cony Road, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was born in Sidney on April 16, 1923 the son of Fred and Elvira (Folger) Robinson. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe attended Augusta schools and had served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Edward had worked for Edwards Manufacturing, the City of Augusta, and retired from the State of Maine, Department of Transportation. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion Post 2, Augusta. He enjoyed playing beano, going to the horse races, and working in his vegetable garden. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was predeceased by his wife Gertrude Robinson in 1999. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe is survived by a son Everett Cunningham and his wife Anne of Brunswick; 2 daughters Alberta Folger and her husband Frank of Augusta, and Evelyn Garand and her husband Viateur of Augusta; a brother Robert Robinson and his wife Lucille of Augusta; and a sister Marjorie Armstrong and her husband Ernie of Sidney; 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. \r\r\n\r\r\nVisiting will be held Sunday, November 19, from 2-4 p.m. at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church St., Augusta. A committal service will be held at Noon on Monday in the chapel at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta. \r\r\n\r\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maine Parkinson Society, 5 Bucknam Road, Suite 1A, Falmouth ME. 04105.
