Fanny Ayotte Obituary (1931

AUGUSTA - Fanny Gerine 'Mimi' Ayotte, 76, died March 18, 2008, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care at Glenridge, Augusta. She was born in Augusta on Oct. 29, 1931, the daughter of Ovide and Beatrice (Boucher) Lagueux. She was a 1949 graduate of Cony High School and was employed by the Veterans' Administration Center at Togus as a secretary until her retirement in 1975. Fanny was married to Alphedor E. Ayotte on Dec. 26, 1950, until his death on Aug. 26, 2005. Fanny and Al spent many summers enjoying their home on Cobbossee Lake in Manchester, and winters at their home in Venice, Fla. Fanny and Al were always ready for a game of cards with their friends. Some of her most enjoyable moments were attending her grandsons' sporting events. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Spears Brousseau and her husband, Donald, of Manchester and North Port, Fla.; grandson Peter Spears and his wife, Kristy, of Sidney and their two children, Kimberley and Robert; grandson Michael Spears and his wife, Racheal, of Tampa, Fla.; stepgranddaughter Doreen Morgan and her husband, Mark, of Lewiston and their two children, David and Darcie; stepgranddaughter Debra Whittier and her husband, Philip, of Houlton and their two children Nicole and Joshua; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to Drs. Nathan and Jorgensen for the excellent care which Fanny received, and to the entire staff at Glenridge Green Garden for the wonderful and compassionate care which they have given to Fanny for the past four years. A Mass of Christian burial and interment will take place at a later date in the spring.
