MANCHESTER -- H. Everil Farrington, 91, died peacefully at her home on Meadow Hill Road, Sunday, Sept. 22, with her family at her side. \r\r\n\r\r\n She was born on Feb. 7, 1922, in Washington, the daughter of Lester and Frances Pendexter. \r\r\n\r\r\nEveril was predeceased by her husband, Harry Farrington Jr.; a son, Lawrence; two brothers, Carroll and Albert Pendexter; and her dearest lifelong friend, Madeline Farrington. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe is survived by one son, Harry Farrington III and his wife, Carolyn, of Augusta; three daughters, Linda Prime and her husband, Curtis, of Augusta, Gayle Farrington, of Manchester, and Jean Burgess and her husband, Skip, of Manchester; 12 grandchildren, Karen Simard, Tammy Farrington, Lisa Farnum, Mike Farrington, Shannon Landry and Barry Farrington, Dana Prime, Carol Davis, Jennifer Mills, and Derek, Larry and Jacki Burgess; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. \r\r\n\r\r\nEveril spent most of her life as a devoted wife and exceptional grandmother. She always had time for her grandchildren. Many nights, a sheet tent in the middle of her bed was filled with her grandchildren. They could usually talk her into about anything and if she said no, then gramp would say yes and vice-versa. Her grandchildren will always remember the holiday decorations she had hanging all over her house. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe was a past member of the Manchester Auxiliary. \r\r\n\r\r\nRelatives and friends may visit at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street, Augusta, 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday with a celebration of her life at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Manchester Forks Cemetery. \r\r\n\r\r\nMemories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of our website at www.khrfuneralhomes.com.
