GREENE -- John Leslie Barton, 52, of West Main Street in Greene, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Central Maine Medical Center, with his RAFTS family at his side. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was born in Portland on Nov. 21, 1959, and was the son of Lawrence and Shirley (Holbrook) Barton. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe grew up in Raymond, where he attended school and the Raymond Congregational Church, and continued his education in Vero Beach, Fla. \r\r\n\r\r\nJohn loved fishing, rock 'n' roll and camping. He was an avid Sea Dogs fan and enjoyed attending their home games. He also loved the annual trips to Old Orchard Beach with Kelli, Gail, Judith, Steve and Leo. \r\r\n\r\r\nJohn was predeceased by his best friend, Dave Dow. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe will be sadly missed by his parents; his sisters, Pat Jorge, and her husband, Joe, of Altha, Fla., and Sher Hooper and her husband, Larry, of Jefferson; his brother, Tim Barton, of Woolwich; and his family at RAFTS in Greene. \r\r\n\r\r\nThe family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at RAFTS Inc. and the residents of 75 W.
