GARDINER ? Margaret Thompson Grant, 93, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Robinson's Health Care Facility in Gardiner. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe was born in Newburyport, Mass., Aug. 25, 1909, the daughter of Charles F. and Grace (Colby) Thompson. \r\r\n\r\r\nMargaret was a longtime resident of Farmington and had also lived in Fairfield and Monmouth. She worked as a legal secretary in Waterville, and taught piano. She was a member of the Progressive Grange of Richmond Corner; Christ Episcopal Church, Gardiner; and the First Settlers of Newburyport, Massachusetts. Margaret was a wonderful cook and devoted to her family. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe was predeceased by her husband, John A. Grant. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe is survived by a sister-in-law, Kathleen Thompson of Hernando, Fla; a nephew, William Thompson of Freedom, N.H., and a cousin, Grace L. Colby of Newburyport. \r\r\n\r\r\nThere will be no visiting hours or service at this time. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Farmington in the spring. \r\r\n\r\r\nArrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home, Winthrop.
