SIDNEY - Marilyn L. Isbister, 70, of Sidney died on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, in Waterville after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe was born in Portland on July 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Herbert and Liberty (Metcalf) Worrey. \r\r\n\r\r\nMarilyn was employed at School Administrative District 51 in Cumberland for 25 years, driving a school bus. She was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting with her husband. She enjoyed being outdoors in all seasons. Marilyn loved her flower and vegetable gardens and enjoyed traveling and spending time in Florida. She had an extensive collection of cook books and loved cooking for her family and friends. \r\r\n\r\r\nMrs. Isbister was predeceased by a brother, Clinton Worrey. \r\r\n\r\r\nMarilyn is survived by her loving husband and soulmate, Frederick E. Isbister; her daughter, Cathy Moody and husband Roger of Sidney; her three sons, Sid Strom Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Cumberland, Michael Strom and his wife, Lorry, of North Yarmouth, and David Isbister and his wife, Lisa, of Albion; five grandchildren, Matthew Strom of Cumberland, Sarah Strom of Windham, Natacha Strom of Yarmouth, and Bobbi Isbister and Kevin Moody, of Sidney; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Hunter Strom of South Portland; a brother, Herbert Worrey and his wife, Clara, of Augusta; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hanscom and family of Sidney, and Lucy Worrey. \r\r\n\r\r\nRelatives and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
