AUGUSTA - Maybelle E. Blaisdell, 76, of Riverside Drive died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at the Augusta Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Islesboro on April 4, 1929, the daughter of Harvey and Christine (Benson) Webster. Maybelle was educated in Islesboro public schools and had worked at Bardens Laundromat on Bangor Street for more than 20 years. She had a love of animals and enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Blaisdell, on June 21, 1997. She is survived by two sons, John Young of Augusta and Preston Young of Vassalboro; two grandchildren, Monica Young and Ryan Young; her sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church St., Augusta; with a funeral service to follow. Spring burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society, 10 Pet Haven Lane, Augusta, ME 04330.
