Obituary

BELGRADE ~ Muriel Bernice Hutchinson Wadleigh, 90, of Belgrade, passed away peacefully in her sleep, March 31, 2016 at her home. She was born March 22, 1926 in Weld, Maine the daughter of Harold and Charlotte (Beane) Hutchinson. She soon became known as Tilly. Tilly graduated from Weld High School and began working at Camp Kawani where she met her husband, Everette Webster Wadleigh. They were soon married and moved to Belgrade to start their family. Tilly was a stay-at-home wife and mother to six children. Her home was always open to the neighborhood children and there was always a place at the table for anyone who showed up. Mrs. Wadleigh was predeceased by her husband, Everette Webster Wadleigh; a son, Barry Keith Wadleigh and a daughter, Betty Jo Wadleigh. She is survived by her children, Brenda Stevens and her husband, David, Bruce Wadleigh and his wife, Jean, Bryce Wadleigh and his wife, Pam and Bryan Wadleigh and his wife, Donna; grandchildren, Tonia Yotides and her husband, Tony, Starr Wadleigh, Matthew Wadleigh and his wife, Crystal, William Wadleigh and his wife, Rosie, Jared Wadleigh and his fianc, Tracy, Breanna and Bridget Wadleigh, and Step-grandson, Steven Albert and his wife, Stacy; her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Dominique, Alexis, Ghe, Peyton, Cole, Aspen, Isaiah, Cameron, Jason, Brandon, Ashley, William, Everette, and Peyton; her brother, Edmund Hutchinson and his wife, Romaine and the extended “Weld” family and her sister-in-law, Joanne McGill and extended family along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade, Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Belgrade Rescue, 6 Manchester Road, Belgrade, Maine 04917. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church Street, Augusta.
