VASSALBORO - Neil D. Wright, 69, of Getchell Corners Road died unexpectedly Monday, April 10, 2006, at his home. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was born in Easton on Nov. 8, 1936, the son of Scott and Mary (Ayers) Wright. \r\r\n\r\r\nNeil attended Augusta, Readfield and Winthrop schools. He was raised on a farm and had worked for DeCoster Egg, Maine Egg and Fox Fertilizer. He was currently working as a dishwasher for The Senator in Augusta, where he had worked for more than 17 years. \r\r\n\r\r\nNeil also attended local Catholic churches. He enjoyed going to horse shows, fairs and watching nature programs on television. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Hill, and his brothers, Eugene, Douglas and Preston Wright. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe is survived by a brother, Scott Wright and his wife, Shirley, of Farmingdale, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. \r\r\n\r\r\nThere will be no visiting. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, in Glenside Cemetery, Winthrop, with the Rev. Brian Blanchette, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Church, officiating. \r\r\n\r\r\nArrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1 Church St., Augusta.
