Winthrop - Robert Franklin Sinclair, 81, died peacefully on September 19, 2009 at the Togus VA Medical Center. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was born in Palmyra on October 26, 1927, to Howard F. and Marion Sinclair. \r\r\n\r\r\nBob served in the in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked for Inmont Corporation, as a truck driver, and part-time for Central Maine Power just prior to retiring at the age of 78. He spent many happy hours gardening, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his wife, Shirley, at their home in Florida. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was predeceased by his first wife, Hazel Morang Sinclair, of 42 years and five brothers and sisters. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Shirley; a step daughter, Carol McNally and her husband, Lance, of Farmington and their children Angela McNally of Brooklyn, New York and Jason and his wife, Regina, of Framingham, MA; step-grandchildren Patrick and Tiffany Churchill; a daughter Marie Veilleux and her husband, Mike, of Winthrop, and their children, Patty Newman and her husband, Dan, of Belgrade and their children, Samantha and Jennifer; Melissa Hamlin and her husband, Chad, of Camp Lejeune, NC and their children Alison and Madeline; a son, Robert Sinclair, Jr. and his wife, Deborah of Manchester and their children Matthew and Christy. Bob is also survived by three siblings, Leland of St. Albans; Emily Rowan of Virginia; and Grace Shea of Ellsworth. \r\r\n\r\r\nVery special people in Bob?s life included Patty and Jerry Tuttle of Augusta; Buddy and Ester Evans of Litchfield; Judy and Ray LeBree of Auburn; Nancy and Grant Pare of Gardiner; Janice Pushard of Augusta; Rhona O?mara of Manchester, NH; and Robert and Colleen Evans of Phippsburg. \r\r\n\r\r\nAt the request of Bob, there will be no visiting hours. A private prayer service will be held at the convenience of the family.
