MONMOUTH ~ Bill Rowley, 58, of Monmouth, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at his home. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was born in Manchester, N.H., the son of Constance and Roger Rowley. Bill grew up in Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1974 and then attended Southern Maine Technical College. \r\r\n\r\r\nOn June 13, 1988, he married Michelle Langley, and they began their lives together having two wonderful children. \r\r\n\r\r\nBill was employed for 25 years by Carleton Woolen Mills in Winthrop and later in life by New Image Awnings in Auburn. Bill loved playing basketball growing up, continuing to play on adult leagues for many years. He enjoyed ice fishing with his friends and family and loved gardening and music. He was a kind and compassionate man. \r\r\n\r\r\nBill was predeceased by his father, Roger William Rowley, in 1968. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 26 years, Michelle Rowley, of Monmouth; his son, Nicholas Rowley, and his wife, Mary (Berry) Rowley, of Fayette; his daughter, Kara Rowley, of Monmouth; his mother, Constance Rowley; sister Candy Everett and her husband, Robert, of Winthrop; his brother, Roger Rowley, of Manchester; and his sister, Diana Noble, and her husband, Cass, of Muncie, Ind.; nephews Jake and Israel Everett; and niece Miranda Everett, of Winthrop; and his childhood friend Dennis Hanson, of Winthrop. \r\r\n\r\r\nBill was a loving father and husband and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. \r\r\n\r\r\nRelatives and friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., in Winthrop.
